Snug editor showing a bedroom plan with live clearance dimensions from the selected dresser to the walls

Measure once.
Move it around forever.

  1. Type the room

Width and length, metres or feet. Put the door and windows on the walls; doors show their swing.

  2. Drop in furniture

Search 90+ pieces at real sizes, or type a custom width and depth. They snap to walls and to each other.

  3. Read the gaps

Every move shows the clearance to the walls and the nearest piece. Export a to-scale plan for the movers.

The actual app

A tape measure that remembers.

Six screens, no mock-ups. This is what ships.

Built for the moment you need it.

You are standing in an empty room, or in the showroom with the dimensions in Notes. Snug works on the phone in your hand, with no connection, and answers one question well.

Live clearance while you drag

The selected piece shows the gap to each wall and to the nearest item. Under 60 cm turns amber. "Will it fit" is answered on the spot, not after the delivery.

Real sizes, not sketches

A queen bed is 152 × 203 cm. A 3-seat sofa is 220 × 90 cm. Ninety-plus pieces at true dimensions, every one editable, plus custom pieces with your own width and depth.

Doors that swing

Doors, doorways and windows sit on a wall and slide along it. Doors draw their arc with hinge side and direction, because a door that opens into the wardrobe is the classic mistake.

Snaps to everything

Pieces snap to walls, to each other and to a 10 cm / 6 in grid with a haptic tick. Rotate with a two-finger twist or 90° taps. Overlaps tint red. Undo is unlimited.

Metric or feet-and-inches

Type 3.8 m or 12' 6". Each room picks its unit system and the grid, the snapping and every dimension label follow it.

Nothing leaves your phone

Fair questions

Is Snug really free?
Yes. Two rooms, every editing feature and image export are free with no time limit, no account and no ads. Snug Unlimited is a single $4.99 in-app purchase that adds unlimited rooms, duplicate-a-room, PDF export with a furniture list, and a personal library for custom pieces. There is nothing else to buy and no subscription.
What does "live clearance" mean?
While a piece is selected or being dragged, Snug draws dimension lines from it to each wall and to the nearest neighbouring piece, with the distance written on each line. Gaps under 60 cm turn amber, the width at which you start shuffling sideways. It is the answer to "will it fit, and can I still walk past it".
Does it work in feet and inches?
Yes. Each room is either metric or imperial. In an imperial room you type sizes like 7' 6" or 90 in, the grid snaps at 6 inches and every dimension reads in feet and inches.
Are the furniture sizes accurate?
They are typical real-world sizes, seen from above: twin to California king and EU single to super king beds, 2- to 4-seat sofas, dining tables by seat count, desks, wardrobes, appliances and more. Every size is editable after placing, so measure the exact piece you are buying and type it in.
Where is my data stored?
In a local database on your phone. There is no account, no cloud and no analytics; nothing you draw is ever uploaded. Exports leave the device only when you hand them to the share sheet. Deleting the app deletes the data.
Can I plan an L-shaped room?
Not yet. Version 1 plans rectangular rooms. L-shaped and notched rooms, made by subtracting rectangles from the room, are next on the roadmap, along with Android.
