Privacy policy

Snug is made by Argon Labs LLC (“we”, “us”). This policy covers the Snug mobile app and this website, snugplanner.app. Questions? Email contact@snugplanner.app.

Snug does not require an account and contains no analytics, advertising or tracking SDKs. Every feature works with no internet connection. Your rooms, furniture, custom pieces, settings and exports are never transmitted to us.

The single exception is crash reporting. When the app crashes or hits an unexpected error, it sends a diagnostic report through Sentry, our error-monitoring provider, so we can find and fix the bug. A report contains technical information about the failure:

• The error and the code path that produced it (a stack trace).
• Device model, operating system version, and Snug version.
• A random identifier used to group repeated crashes from the same install. It is not linked to you and does not follow you across apps.

Crash reports never include your rooms, furniture, custom pieces, exports or the contents of anything you type. We have disabled Sentry's optional collection of personally identifying information, along with its performance tracing and session replay features. Reports are used only to diagnose and fix defects, and are never sold or shared for advertising.

The only other software in Snug that talks to the internet is Apple's StoreKit (or, on Android, Google Play Billing), which handles the Snug Unlimited purchase and the restore-purchases button. That traffic goes to Apple or Google under their own privacy policies, and we never see it.

If you turn on iCloud backup, iCloud Drive also carries your backup file to your own iCloud account, under Apple's terms; we never see that either. See “Where your data lives”.

Everything you create in Snug is stored in a local database inside the app's private storage on your device. Thumbnails and exported images or PDFs are written to the same private storage. An export leaves the device only when you hand it to the share sheet, at which point it goes wherever you send it (Messages, Mail, Files, a printer) under that app's rules.

iCloud backup is optional and off by default. When you turn it on in Settings, Snug writes one backup file — your rooms and custom pieces — to a Snug folder in your own iCloud Drive. That file travels between your device and Apple under Apple's iCloud terms and is protected by your Apple Account; it never touches a server of ours and we have no way to read it. Turn the toggle off to stop, and delete the file from Files › iCloud Drive › Snug if you want it gone. Export and Import backup file, also in Settings, put the same file wherever you send it.

Your data is also included in your device backups (iCloud or encrypted local backups) under the standard iOS backup rules you control. Deleting the app deletes everything on the device; a backup file you kept in iCloud Drive or elsewhere stays until you delete it.

Snug asks for no permissions. It does not use the camera, the photo library, location, contacts, the microphone or notifications. Saving an export to Photos, if you choose that in the share sheet, is handled by iOS and asks for its own permission at that moment.

Snug Unlimited is sold through the Apple App Store as a one-time in-app purchase. Payment is handled entirely by Apple under Apple's privacy policy. We never see your name, payment details or billing address. Snug keeps a local record that the unlock has been purchased so it does not need to ask the store every time you open the app.

snugplanner.app is a static site. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics scripts and embeds no third-party widgets. Our hosting provider may keep standard, short-lived server logs (such as IP address and requested page) to operate and secure the service, as described in the provider's own privacy documentation.

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in the message. We use it only to reply and keep it only as long as needed to help you. We never add you to mailing lists or share your address with anyone.

Snug is suitable for all ages. The app has no account system, and the only data it collects is anonymous crash reports, which carry no personal information from anyone, children included.

Privacy laws such as GDPR and CCPA give you rights over personal data a company holds about you. Everything you create in Snug is already fully in your hands, on your device (and in your own iCloud Drive if you turn backup on), so there is nothing for us to access, correct, export or delete. We hold no account records. Crash reports are technical diagnostics that are not linked to your identity, so we generally cannot connect one to a particular person — but if you contact us with the details, we will locate and delete any report we can identify as yours. Support emails you have sent us will be deleted on request.

If we ever change how Snug works in a way that affects privacy (for example, adding a sync feature), we will update this policy first and note the change prominently here and in the app's release notes. The “last updated” date at the top always reflects the current version.

• October 24, 2026 — Snug is now on Android; purchases there go through Google Play Billing. Nothing new is sent to us.
• September 22, 2026 — added optional iCloud Drive backup and backup files. Nothing new is sent to us; the privacy label is unchanged.
